Jill Healy
CEO
As a co-founder of the company, Jill provides leadership over business and clinical operations at Trial Runners. Since its launch in 2006, Jill has provided direction to clinical teams on over fifty clinical trials. Prior to Trial Runners, Jill was with Eyetech Pharmaceuticals, most recently as Associate Director in the Clinical Department where she hired, trained and mentored CRA staff members working on Macugen® clinical trials. Prior to her role at Eyetech, she served as a project manager for the Macugen® pivotal phase III clinical trial and played a key role in the FDA approval of the drug. Jill boasts over eighteen years of experience in the industry and has served in clinical management roles with Roche and Schering-Plough. Jill holds a bachelor’s degree from North Dakota State University.
Patrick Healy, MPH
Director of Clinical Development and Co-Founder
Since co-founding the company in 2006, Patrick has helped Trial Runners become a leading choice for ophthalmology pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Prior to launching Trial Runners, Patrick was with Eyetech Pharmaceuticals as Associate Director of Medical Affairs, providing strategic and management oversight to the post-marketing clinical research program for Macugen®, the first anti-VEGF treatment for neovascular age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD). Patrick initially joined Eyetech in 2001 to co-manage the Macugen® pivotal phase III clinical trial. Patrick has over eighteen years of experience in the industry and has served in clinical management roles at Pfizer, Roche and Schering-Plough. Patrick holds a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a master’s degree from the University of South Carolina, School of Public Health.
Melissa Pavlicek
Director of Marketing and Business Development

Melissa Pavlicek
Director of Marketing and Business Development
As the Director of Marketing and Business Development for Trial Runners, Melissa executes and oversees the Business Development and Marketing Teams alongside marketing projects contained within our STRIDE program.
Melissa is a self-motivated leader with expertise in expanding network connections, introducing products, implementing pricing strategies, developing territories, and understanding customers’ needs to deliver solutions. With proven success in various sales approaches and techniques, establishing trusting relationships, productive communications, and long-term partnerships, Melissa provides mentorship and support among different departments of Trial Runners.
Melissa has over 14 years of experience in Marketing, 11 of those years working directly in Business Development and Sales. She has worked in 3 different countries and has a deep understanding of Latin American and European business practices. Melissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Design with a Major in Marketing from Universidad de las Americas Puebla.
Leanne Berry-Gietzen
Director of People and Business Operations
As the Director of People and Business Operations for Trial Runners, LeAnne is responsible for oversight and execution in the areas of Recruitment and Hiring, Payroll and Benefits Administration, Employee and Labor Relations, Performance Management, and business operations. She brings to this role, her a passion for employee engagement, leadership development, cultural diversity, conflict resolution, and a strong belief in maintaining a positive and enhanced organizational culture for the company and all employees.LeAnne’s 20+ years of experience and expertise include vocational, academic, and personal counseling, social work, group trainer and facilitator, business operations and human resources management; along with both people and program management and directorship in the public college system, for non-profit programs at the state and federal level, and for-profit businesses within the Oil & Gas industry.As a leader within the company, LeAnne is an active member of the Trial Runners Strategic Team, has led Leadership Development courses for staff, and is a Trainer within the Trial Runners University (TRU) program. LeAnne holds a Bachelor’s degree in both Psychology and Sociology and a minor in Ethnic Studies.
